You will be invited to visit your local Family Hub, where you can meet our Family Hub Connectors, learn about what services we have on offer and collect your box.
If you are in receipt of an eligible benefit then you will be able to claim a baby box if you are expecting a baby or your baby is under 6 months old. Please check if you are eligible here: https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/access-for-all
Your midwife, health professional, Registrar, social worker (if applicable), Family Hub or you may self-refer via the Baby Box call centre.
The Baby Box contains 15 specially handpicked items to support your babies early years. With a focus on laughing, playing, reading, singing and counting and a few essential items like a sleeping bag, weaning spoons, sippy cup, towel and bath sponges.
You will receive one Baby Box per newborn, so if you are having multiple, one for each baby.

You can receive a Baby Box as long as you are a Wandsworth resident and are eligible. The Baby Box scheme operates from St Georges, Chelsea and Westminster and Kingston Hospitals and through your community midwife if you are having a home birth.
No, the new-style boxes without mattresses are not suitable for sleeping.
