When will I receive my Wandsworth Baby Box?

You will be invited to visit your local Family Hub, where you can meet our Family Hub Connectors, learn about what services we have on offer and collect your box.

Am I eligible for a Wandsworth Baby Box?

If you are in receipt of an eligible benefit then you will be able to claim a baby box if you are expecting a baby or your baby is under 6 months old. Please check if you are eligible here: https://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/access-for-all

Who can register me for a Wandsworth Baby Box?

Your midwife, health professional, Registrar, social worker (if applicable), Family Hub or you may self-refer via the Baby Box call centre.

What is in a Wandsworth Baby Box?

The Baby Box contains 15 specially handpicked items to support your babies early years. With a focus on laughing, playing, reading, singing and counting and a few essential items like a sleeping bag, weaning spoons, sippy cup, towel and bath sponges.

How many boxes can I get?

You will receive one Baby Box per newborn, so if you are having multiple, one for each baby.

How do I know if my registration has been successful?

Once you are registered you will receive an email confirmation from baby@wandsworthbabybox.co.uk.

How do I know when my baby box will be delivered?

Once your referral has been received one of our Family Hub Connectors will contact you to visit your local Family Hub and arrange for you to collect your Baby Box.

What are the opening hours for the call centre?

The customer service centre is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

What should I do if my baby box doesn’t turn up?

What if I have chosen to give birth in a neighbouring hospital?

You can receive a Baby Box as long as you are a Wandsworth resident and are eligible. The Baby Box scheme operates from St Georges, Chelsea and Westminster and Kingston Hospitals and through your community midwife if you are having a home birth.

Can the box be used for sleeping?

No, the new-style boxes without mattresses are not suitable for sleeping.
